From cognitive training to physical rehabilitation, Joyous Circle Rehabilitation Centre is well equipped with more than 210 types of equipment to better serve the needs of senior such as weight-supported walking machine, balance training equipment, shockwave and laser therapeutic tools and functional electrical stimulation with active/passive ergometers. Besides, a multi-sensory room is particularly set up to provide sensory integrated therapy to dementia patients. Scope of service

Service User Details
Cognitive Ability Assessment Senior Evaluation of suspected dementia by occupational therapist followed by report to medical practitioners for further diagnosis.
Cognitive Training Cognitive impaired senior Personalized programme for individual with range of cognitive trainings including reality orientation, computerized cognitive training, reminiscence, memory and concentration enhancement, de-institutionalization and social skill training and sensory integrated therapy, etc. Post evaluation report to be submitted to medical practitioner for follow-up.
Pain Relief Patients suffering from annoying pain Analgesic treatment, spinal care and prevention of recurrence by traction therapy, manual therapy, acupuncture, electric therapy, and stretching and muscle strengthening, in order to relieve pain and help patients resume normal daily activities.
Neurological Rehabilitation Patients with neurological illness Comprehensive rehabilitation, including physical mobility and functional training, acupuncture and prevention of complications, to help patients, especially those suffering from stroke and Parkinson’s disease, overcome obstacles in daily life.
Cardiopulmonary System Rehabilitation Therapy Patients with cardiopulmonary disease and postoperative patients Physiotherapeutic treatments including soothing and proper breathing methods, removal of sputum blockage, reduction of complications like risk of pneumonia, and enhance cardiopulmonary function to speed up the healing progress.
Upper Limb and Hand Function Rehabilitation Patients with congenital or traumatic hand disease Clinical assessment and computer equipment checking for designing a complete treatment that suits patient's situation, living needs.
Integrated Geriatric Physiotherapy Senior Cognitive and physical examination, exercise classes, pain relief, balancing enhancement, fall risk assessment and prevention, and health talks for overall health promotion.
